He specializes in real estate transactions, joint ventures and other complex negotiations, development, finance, loan restructures and workouts, construction, and general business law. He has vast experience in all aspects of developer/owner representation, including acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, financings, leasing, loan and partnership workouts, co-ownership and TICs, and family office luxury property purchases.

His clients value his reputation for efficiently handling all elements of property ownership and development from acquisition, debt and equity financing, and lease-up through disposition. Mr. Muzzy has been practicing law for 22 years and with Lubin Olson since 2003. During his career, he has worked on just about every conceivable type of real estate transaction through three economic cycles. He has represented investors, owners, landlords, tenants, lenders, developers, and operators in all real estate product types, including single-asset, portfolio, and entity acquisitions and sales; troubled real estate loans and developments; and private lenders, hotels, mortgage funds, and institutional lenders.

Mr. Muzzy is a member of the State Bar of California in the Real Property, Taxation, and Business Law sections and the Bar Association of San Francisco in the Environmental, Land Use, and Real Estate sections.

Prior to joining Lubin Olson, Mr. Muzzy practiced at a boutique firm in San Francisco where he represented family offices and closely-held businesses in tax and real estate.

In a cooler past life, Mr. Muzzy worked as a ski patroller (EMT) at a major resort in Colorado, on a marine science research team capturing, tagging, and tracking great white sharks off the coast of California and on a Pacific grey whale survey team.

He is a native Californian. In his spare time, you can find him coaching basketball and baseball, working out, wandering in the remote backcountry, surfing, or pretending to play music.
