John List is an associate in Lubin Olson’s Real Estate, Business, and Affordable Housing service groups. His philosophy of legal practice is to provide practical and reasoned legal advice that assists clients in their business pursuits. His practice encompasses transactional matters involving real estate and land development, lending, acquisitions, dispositions, operations, and business joint ventures. He represents buyers and sellers in single-asset, portfolio, and entity acquisitions and sales; borrowers and lenders in single-asset and portfolio transactions; and developers, investors, private money lenders, private mortgage funds, and institutional lenders on all sides of real estate transactions. In addition, he advises on multifamily operational and compliance matters for both market rate and affordable housing for clients, including statewide owners, local and national nonprofits, and local and national managers of multifamily rental housing.

Mr. List also represents issuers and investors in private placements of equity and debt. Serving as outside counsel, he advises on corporate governance, consulting arrangements, non-competition restrictions, confidentiality agreements, license agreements, protection of soft intellectual property, joint ventures and other strategic alliances, partnership agreements, operating agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and complex commercial transactions.
